Our InnoSprint Journey
As part of TTPL’s internal innovation initiative, InnoSprint hosted by Bhutan Innovation and Technology Centre, our team came together to explore challenges faced by individuals and organizations when buying, selling, and participating in competitive bidding activities.
During the initiative, the team exchanged ideas, studied the existing process, and looked for ways in which technology could make bidding more convenient, organized, accessible, and transparent. Through this collaborative process, the idea of DrukBid was born.
InnoSprint gave our team the opportunity to transform an initial idea into a practical digital solution. It encouraged us to think beyond our regular responsibilities, understand users’ needs, and design a platform that could create value for both organizations and individuals.

The Idea Behind DrukBid
The team recognized the need for a trusted digital platform where bidding opportunities could be published, discovered, and managed more conveniently.
Traditional bidding processes can require users to obtain information from different sources, handle physical documents, and complete several manual activities.
DrukBid was conceptualized to bring relevant information and bidding activities together through a more accessible digital experience.
The name DrukBid represents a platform created in Bhutan to support a more connected and digitally enabled bidding environment.
